ALEXANDRIA, VA—The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) announced today that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney will address the nation’s oldest and largest conservative gathering on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 2:45 PM in the Omni Shoreham Hotel’s Regency Ballroom in Washington DC. "Coming on the heels of his formally entering the 2008 presidential race last week, CPAC affords Gov. Romney the perfect opportunity for him to present his vision for leading America to our group of 5,000 conservative leaders and activists," said American Conservative Union (ACU) Executive Vice President J. William Lauderback. ACU is a primary sponsor of CPAC. "Conservatives are eager for an opportunity to hear Gov. Romney’s positions on the various social, defense, free market, and foreign policy issues important to them," Lauderback continued. Lisa De Pasquale, Director of CPAC added that, “In addition to politicians, CPAC also features national policy experts like former United Nations Representative John Bolton and Phyllis Schlafly, and media figures like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham.” CPAC is a project of the American Conservative Union Foundation, in association with Young America's Foundation and Human Events. The conference is co-sponsored by over 70 of the nation's leading conservative organizations. For continued updates on the program or to register online, visit www.cpac.org |
