Gov. Mike Huckabee to Address

Largest Conservative Gathering of the Year

ALEXANDRIA, VA—The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) announced that former Governor Mike Huckabee will address the conference on Friday March 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Omni Shoreham Hotel’s Regency Ballroom in Washington D.C.

Huckabee served as Arkansas’ governor from 1997 until 2007 and last Wednesday opened his presidential exploratory committee headquarters in the state capital, Little Rock.

"As governor, Mike Huckabee served his state’s citizens honorably and we look forward to hearing his ideas on how best to move our conservative movement forward," said American Conservative Union Executive Vice President J. William Lauderback. ACU is the lead sponsor of CPAC.  "As an activist myself, I’m confident that his views on eminent domain prohibition and defining marriage will be received well.  Additionally, CPAC will provide Gov. Huckabee with an early opportunity to demonstrate to our members and activists why he believes he’s a candidate worth getting behind."

CPAC is a project of the American Conservative Union Foundation, in association with Young America's Foundation and Human Events. The conference is co-sponsored by over 70 of the nation's leading conservative organizations. For continued updates on the program or to register online, visit www.cpac.org
