![]() Jeff Sessions to Speak to Reagan Banquet at CPAC 2005 Alabama senator, Chairman of Senate Steering Committee, to address conservative activists ALEXANDRIA, VA - Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama will deliver the dinner address to the Reagan Banquet at the 32nd annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Friday, February 19, 2005, the American Conservative Union announced today. "We are delighted that Sen. Sessions has agreed to address the banquet named in honor of President Ronald Reagan," ACU Chairman David A. Keene said. Jeff Sessions serves on the Senate Judiciary and Armed Services committees and is Chairman of the Senate Steering Committee. "Senator Sessions has a lifetime rating of 98 percent in the annual ACU Rating of Congress," Keene noted. "Jeff Sessions is a true conservative's conservative. As a member of the Judiciary Committee, Sen. Sessions has been a stalwart defender of the Constitution and President Bush's judicial nominees. I'm sure the CPAC attendees at the Reagan Banquet will be inspired by Senator Session's remarks." "The American Conservative Union always stands on principle," Sen. Sessions said. "I am honored by this invitation." In addition to Sen. Sessions' keynote address, the Reagan Banquet also will feature the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth who will receive ACU's prestigious Courage Under Fire Award. Former Senator Zell Miller will present the award to the Swift Boat Vets. CPAC is a project of the American Conservative Union Foundation, in association with Young America's Foundation and Human Events. The conference is co-sponsored by over 70 of the nation's leading conservative organizations. For continued updates on the program or to register online, visit www.cpac.org. "CPAC" is not a "political action committee (PAC)" as defined by federal law. The conference name and initials predate the creation of those entities and is merely coincidental.
