Washington, D.C. - The American Conservative Union (ACU) Political Action Committee (PAC) today announced its endorsement of T.W. Shannon for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma.

"T.W. Shannon is the best conservative choice for U.S. Senate in the Oklahoma Republican primary.  Shannon is the candidate with the strongest conservative record on both fiscal and social issues and will join a new generation of conservative leaders whose number is growing in the Senate.  As Speaker of the Oklahoma House, Shannon made it a priority to reduce the size of government, lower taxes and reduce the state’s debt.  Shannon was also a leader on welfare reform, strengthening work requirements for able bodied adults.  ACU PAC urges all conservatives to support T.W. Shannon for U.S. Senate in the Republican Primary June 24," said Larry Hart, ACU Director of Government Affairs.

The ACU Political Action Committee is the political arm of the American Conservative Union, the nation's oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization. The committee supports candidates for office who reflect the conservative principles on which ACU was founded. The goals of the ACU PAC are to increase the number of quality candidates who share our commitment to conservative principles and to protecting and advancing the fiscal, social and security priorities of the Reagan era. These funds are utilized in conjunction with endorsements and public announcements to communicate our support for chosen candidates to their constituents and conservatives across the nation.

The ACU recently announced its 2013 Ratings of Congress, the 43rd edition of the conservative ratings guide. For more information on the ACU PAC or to download the full 2013 Ratings of Congress, please visit
