Thomas S. Winter,
First Vice Chairman
For more than four decades, Thomas Winter has been the guiding force behind Human Events, the national conservative weekly. He joined the paper in 1961, at the age of 24 as an assistant editor, after earning a bachelor’s degree (1959) and MBA (1961) from Harvard University. He became the editor in 1964 and co-owner and president in 1966, and assumed the title editor in chief in 1996. He also serves as vice chairman of the American Conservative Union and treasurer of the Conservative Victory Fund.
