Heather Madden, Development Director

Heather Madden is the Development Director of the American Conservative Union.  She joined the ACU in March 2007, and is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising plans, writing grant proposals and fundraising letters and correspondence to secure high dollar gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Madden served as the Director of Foundations at the Media Research Center from 2002 until 2007.  Madden was the Senior Vice President for Corporate and Foundation Development at the Capital Development Group from 1997 to 2002, where her clients included the Free Congress Foundation, the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation, Tancredo for Congress and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Madden was the Regional Finance Director of the Southeast at the Republican National Committee’s Presidential Trust during the 1996 election cycle, and worked for the National Policy Forum from 1993 to 1996.  Madden also served as a policy analyst the Madison Public Affairs Group from 1992 to 1993. 

Madden received a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from LaSalle University and an M.A. in American Government from the School of Public Affairs at The American University.

Madden resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two young children.
